The concept of Two Ones was born at the same time as my son. It came from a desire to create sustainable clothing for the modern woman and a passion to do more with less. The extra things that come into your life along with a new baby can be overwhelming, and I quickly realized that I wanted and needed far less in my closet. I have never been one to fit the mold or look perfect all the time, but I do believe that clothes have the power to transform. When you have limited time and energy, being able to put on an effortless dress is something not just mothers, but all women, can benefit from.
Sustainability can mean many things, but at it’s core, I believe it starts with consuming less. Producing garments in a socially and environmentally responsible way is only one part of the equation. The other part is to simply buy fewer things. How can we do this, when the message we constantly receive is that we need more? I do this by making clothes that are produced with longevity in mind, both in high quality construction and styling that is still relevant season after season. It also means making clothes that are practical and can serve us though multiple phases of life, which for some women may include pregnancy and breastfeeding.
This was my inspiration for Two Ones. To create sustainable, versatile, and effortless pieces that will accompany you on all of life’s journeys, great and small.
